CTA Launch Crusher Backing Compound

Sutton Coldfield based central Tapes and adhesives Ltd and Tamworth based Crushers-UK Ltd have developed a PU based Crusher Backing Compound. Our product is used as a shock absorbing compound in cone crushing machines and extensively within the quarrying and mining industries worldwide. It offers many advantages including reduced health and safety issues resulting in reduced transportation costs compared to epoxy based products (i.e. non flammable).

Following extensive testing over the last couple of years within laboratories and in working cone crushers out on site, CTA are excited to launch this new product. The PU formulation is similar to existing products in the market place; however, our product requires no pre heating in cold conditions and is easily mixable. Additionally it offers good compressive and flexural strength with minimal shrinkage. Low viscosity means easy to pour, ensures visual confirmation of mixed product and free flow into the smallest cavities and contours of manganese steel. The packaging format will remain familiar to service engineers. The kits are a familiar 10 kilos, comprising of part A being within a lever latch metal pail, and part B is within a plastic poly bottle. The Crusher Backing is available ex-stock with a minimum order quantity of five kits per order.. We also offer 250ml tins of release agent.

In summary our Crusher Backing offers the following advantages:

Protecting against impact and shock vibrations

Extends the life of the machinery

Offers maximum savings on labour

Enhances productivity

Easily applied by machinery operating personel and minimal training

CTA Sponsor Chris Davison in the Westfield Cup

15 June 2010

CTA sponsor Davison as he wins the double at Mallory Park

Central Tapes & Adhesives Ltd have entered into a sponsorship deal with Sutton Coldfield born racer Chris Davison and his Ringtours.co.uk team were at their home circuit of Mallory Park in Leicestershire on the 15th June competing in rounds 5 and 6 of the Westfield Sportscar series.

On the Sunday morning, track conditions were dry for the qualifying session - Davison displayed strong pace and put in solid lap times. Davison comments: “It was the first time for me to drive this car at Mallory. The qualifying session was important for me to familiarise myself ahead of the two afternoon races. I struggled with my tyres and had some initial braking problems, but to qualify in third place on the grid was respectable.”

In a well fought race, Davison earned the top step on the podium and collect his trophy. Davison won outright in what was a thrilling, action-packed race from the start to the finishing line.

Davison explained: “It was close racing and one of the best weekends for me so far this season. I didn’t know the circuit that well and how the car would perform. I am pleased with its pace. “I was delighted that Mark Plimmer of CTA was able to attend Mallory Park and for his company to witness good racing from a competitive team.

Chris Davison and Team Ringtours.co.uk are looking to compete in the Ginetta G50 Championship in 2011 and looking to build further partnerships with other companies.  For more information on how to sponsor Chris Davison please contact Lisa Davison via email Lisa@igdracing.co.uk or telephone on 07968 444 007.
